Contraindications and Warnings

  1. Do not stimulate over the carotid sinus nerves.
  2. Do not use on patients with demand type cardiac pacemakers.
  3. Do not apply transcerebrally.
  4. Do not apply until the pain syndrome is diagnosed and the etiology is established.
  5. The safety of TENS devices for use during pregnancy has not been established.
  6. TENS therapy should only be used under the continued supervision of a licensed health professional.
  7. TENS is a symptomatic treatment and as such suppresses the sensation of pain which would otherwise serve as a protective mechanism on the outcome of the clinical process.
  8. Keep out of the reach of children.
  9. Electronic monitoring equipment, such as EKG monitors or alarms, may not function properly when stimulation is in use.

Precautions

Sensitive individuals may receive isolated cases of skin irritation or burning at the site of electrode placement following long term application.

Caution: Federal (U.S.A.) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a licensed practitioner.

Accessories Included: 9 volt battery, patient leads, single patient reusable electrodes, belt clip, user's guide and storage case.

Warranty: AMREX provides a two (2) year warranty on the instrument to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
